WHO IS TOUGH ENOUGH? ? ?
WOR Events are pleased and very proud to announce full details of the forthcoming off road bonanza that is known as the Tough One Extreme Sprint Scramble. The event is now full and undergoing intense planning and preparation ready to be unleashed on the lucky British public on the 3rd Saturday in January 2008. THE LINE UP .. The UK's World conquering off road star David Knight will be trying to take his factory KTM to a fourth straight Tough One win. Knight is confirmed and rides with the number 1 plate. Making
things difficult for the super human Manxman will be a very strong contingent
of Britain's' best off road riders including current British Enduro
Champion, Tom Sagar and extreme specialist and former Hells Gate winner,
Wayne Braybrook.
Is Taddy Tough Enough????? But one
name that the fans will be wishing to see on the list is that of young
Polish KTM extreme star, TADDY BLAZUSIAK.
No where in the UK next year will you be able to see these two Extreme Enduro specialists do battle with each other in an enclosed area with fantastic viewing and close up action, other than, The WOR TOUGH ONE at Nantmawr Quarry. The event has grown in stature over the last 3 years and now stands alone as Britain's top Spectator Enduro fest, rubbing shoulders with all of Europe and Americas top extreme events The Expert
and Clubman classes are both jammed full, The GAS
GAS UK Speed Trial (fantastic last year!!) is back with a full and quality
entry that will race for an extra 30 minutes than last year meaning
a 1.5hr battle for the likes of Colley, Jarvis, Wigg and Morris to name
but a few. This will start at 12.30pm. The organisers have brought in some subtle changes for the main event this year .ones that they hope will ensure even more value for money for the thousands of spectators that are expected to flock into the haunting Shropshire quarry. A Tougher,
smaller, more quarry based track will await the riders and spectators
alike. Although
the event has been a huge success in the dark for the last 2 years with
the second hour always being in floodlit madness, this year will be
different, with most of the 2hr spectacle being run in the hours of
daylight. Instead of a run to the machines, the pro's will have to put in BOTH front and rear wheels on the start line before they can commence battle, so get practising guys as the quicker you are on the tools, the quicker you will be away. With a huge £4k prize pot up for grabs within the days race structure their will certainly be a lot of trying, sweating and grunting from the quality rider line up. Race commentary and rider interviews will be taking place throughout the day along with the presentation of 2007's MOTUL and GAS GAS championships that WOR proudly organised. All this adds up to a fantastic day's sport that is unique in so many ways. A constant
worry for the organisers is the parking area and lack of space that
this area has. The fact that some people come to the event with just
2 people in one vehicle is always a problem so this year there will
be a parking fee on all vehicles of £10 per car and £15
for a van or mini bus BUT the entrance fee of £15 per person stays
the same. So here
